What is the Secfi MCP integration?
The Secfi MCP allows you to access your equity data, run calculations, and get answers to about equity compensation questions directly inside Claude or ChatGPT — without switching to another app.
Can I use it without logging into my Secfi Account?
No, you need to login to your Secfi account in order to use the MCP. Your secfi account is needed so Claude or ChatGPT can provide you with answers about your equity or run calculations using your equity.
How do I connect my Secfi account?
- Ask your AI assistant to connect your Secfi account, or type: "Connect my Secfi account"
- A browser window will open — log in with your existing Secfi credentials
- Agree to the Terms or Service and authorize the connection when prompted
- Return to the chat — you're connected

Ask any general equity compensation question. Returns answers sourced from Secfi's articles, with a link to the source. Requires login.
Portfolio summary
Returns an overview of your estimated portfolio value and valuation methods available for your equity. Requires login.
Grant details
Returns details on all your equity grants — type (ISO/NSO/RSU), vesting status, strike price, FMV, and spread. Requires login.
Tax Details
Returns details on Tax filing status — type (single, married- filling jointly, married - filing separately, head of household), Income, Dependents, additional sources of income, and deductions. Requires login.
Tax rates
Returns your applicable federal, state, and local (where applicable) tax rates based on your Secfi tax profile. Requires login.
Exercise cost calculator
Given a grant and number of shares, calculates total cash needed to exercise — including strike price cost and estimated tax exposure (AMT for ISOs, withholding for NSOs). Requires login.
AMT calculator
Calculates your AMT crossover point — the maximum number of ISO shares you can exercise in a given tax year before triggering Alternative Minimum Tax. Requires login.
Exit scenario modeling
Models your estimated net proceeds at a given exit valuation or share price, accounting for liquidation preferences and tax. Requires login.
Request financing
Submit a financing inquiry for your equity directly from the conversation. Requires login.
Troubleshooting
I'm not seeing Secfi as an available integration.
Make sure you're looking in the Connectors or Integrations section of your AI assistant's settings. Search for "Secfi." If it doesn't appear, the integration may not yet be available in your region.
The browser didn't open when I tried to connect.
Try the connection flow again. If your browser is blocking pop-ups, allow them for the AI assistant's domain and retry.
I connected my account but tools are returning errors.
Your session may have expired. Ask the assistant to reconnect your Secfi account and try again.
The assistant answered my equity question but it seemed generic.
If you're not logged in, answers come from Secfi's general knowledge base rather than your personal data. Connect your account for personalized calculations.
I want to revoke access.
You can disconnect the integration at any time from your Secfi account settings under Connected Apps, or from your AI assistant's integrations settings.

Your equity data is processed in accordance with Secfi's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Secfi only returns the data needed to answer your specific request. In addition, once the data is entered into the AI platform, the data is governed by the respective platform's Privacy Policy. We do not control how third party AI platforms process, store, or retain their data.
